Supply Chain Management Fellows
As an accepted member of Supply Chain Management Fellows I participate in indepth activities related to all aspects of the industry, such as field trips, guest lectures, case competitions and other assignments. The goal is to provide real world, applicable methodologies and approaches to the industry. By being apart I have had the pleasure of meeting countless experts, seeing classroom knowledge applied in the real world and how some academics are counter intuitive to the classroom learning.

Global Consulting Fellows
As an accepted member of Global Consulting Fellows I participate in indepth activities related to developing a global mindset. This includes exploring the cultural, social and political norms, beliefs and values of societies around the world. A society is a group of any number of people that can be as centralized as a town or as far ranging as a country.
By decomposing the norms, beliefs and values of different groups I apply the knowledge to real world experiences through guest speakers, group prokects, class discussions and global experiences such as firld trips and study abroad experiences.

Consulting Collaboration Class and Global Mindset Colloquium
The Smith School and EY partnered to create a real world consulting project for students. I was part of a team focused on advising Costco on the possibility of expanding their business to China. Through guest speakers from EY and our own research we decided that Costco should not move into China. Guest speakers from EY spoke about corruption norms in other countries, transfer pricing, cultural differences, and fraud. This opened my eyes to the diversity that can be found within business and guided me towards my aspiration to be a global consultant.

PWC Future Leaders Program
This was a unique one day experience in which a select group of students were invited to the PWC office in Washington D.C. At the office I was able to experience a real life consulting scenario in which my team and I received the case, interviewed clients, fomulated a proposal, and presented it to our clients. We also got a chance to improve on our leadership skills by reviewing our career aptitude tests and recieve feedback from mentors. It was an awesome networking opportunity that delivered real life experience.

Change the World Program
This was an extracurricular project in which I worked with a small group of undergraduate students to consult for an equestrian center. We partnered with Delloitte mentors for advice, but conducted the project with our own skills. This was the first consulting experience. It was a struggle to work with our client, but I learned to make the most of situations, how to manage conflict, how to deliver bad news to a client, and that I needed to continue to tackle foreign experiences to develop my leadership skills.

SERVE Fundraiser
SERVE is an organization that helps South African woman sell their handmade products. While I was a senior in high school, and attending Anne Arundel Community College, I raised over $1,000 in catolog sales. This was out of a campwide total of $3,000 in just 4 weeks. It was then that I saw my passion for helping others and being a salesman come together to make a difference in the world.
