Internship Experience

DHL Express

I Coordinated with DHL management team and 5 interns to coach drivers on SMITH driving practices and proper Global SOP responsibilities in the facility; proper package handling procedures and proper HIC cage protocol. We prepared the DHL Express facility for yearly audit, eliminating more than 65% of Bad Address packages. We solved Bad Address packages by diagnosing cultural differences, economic and political factors, and human errors. I completed cold calls to more than 12 businesses and developed business opportunities, securing one new client. I troubleshot International Supply Chain Management obstacles and operational inefficiencies through the 4 major facets of DHL; motivated people, great service quality, loyal customers and profitable network

Fluent

 

Fluent translates a company's brand for the college world. They help brands to become more prominent on campuses and grow their consumer market to include Millenials. My experience with Fluent is outlined in the next two projects described below.

Zipcar

Brand Ambassador

 

As a brand ambassador for Zipcar I engage in 40+ student conversations per week and generate 3 pieces of social media content per week. I perform class and club presentations, Zipcar events, parties, and sample trips. I learn the struggles of sales people and learn how to field questions and concerns. The best part about this posistion is the freedom to be creative and your own boss, working at a pace that fits my personality.

Macy's

Brand Ambassador for Macy's Magic Bus Experience

 

Origionally part of a team of 5, we sparked interest from 200+ students in Macy's fashion show and Big Bus event in a matter of two weeks. The goal was to reach 200 sign ups and have at least 100  students actually come out. On the day of the event circumstances called for someone to step up as a leader and I did so. I put on an event that Macy's could be proud of. This later led to my promotion to the position with Zipcar. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know my partner so well that it felt like we had been friends forever.

Eyefull Food

Account Executive

 

As an Account Executive with Eyefull I formed over 10 extensive business relationships. These relationships gave me insight into the industry, introduced me to the challenges of a sales posistion, and improved upon my interpersonal skills. Training was comprehensive and I learned to be wise with my word choice, taking words like "objection" and turning it into a concern. This concern was then something I could address and use to help close the deal. I also had the opportunity to differentiate target markets and propose various packages to meet the needs of individual businesses.

Biixo

Brand Ambassador

 

Biixo is one of the largest virtual bulletin boads for college students. I was tasked with generating 5 posts per week of my own and getting 3 other students per week to sign up on the platform. I then encouraged them to continually post and visit the site, as well as get their friends to join.
